Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: gnu Date: 16 Feb 12 - 04:29 PM "Harry's Law is an American legal comedy-drama television series..," Comedy. I like comedies. I'd give it a looksee. I watch very little TV. |
Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: Bobert Date: 16 Feb 12 - 05:14 PM So no one really knows if if over??? I can't seem to find anything on the internet about it... There's a "Harry's Law" site that I've been to but it doesn't say much, if anything, about future episodes that are new... B~ |
Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: Bobert Date: 16 Feb 12 - 05:15 PM BTW, gn-ze... Not much comedy... Purdy serious stuff... B~ |
Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: Ed T Date: 16 Feb 12 - 06:35 PM I like it so far. Boston Legal was OK at the first, until they seemed to run out of legal and story content and just got wacky. |
Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: Arkie Date: 16 Feb 12 - 09:11 PM Have not seen a new episode since the announcement it would change nights. Thought the ad said a better time slot on Sunday. I was hoping it would not compete with Lark Rise to Candleford. There are five or six shows that I watch. That was one of them. |
Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: Crowhugger Date: 17 Feb 12 - 02:45 PM I love the show--for me it's just the right mix of interesting issues framed in sometimes ordinary and sometimes odd-ball cases, always involving quirky characters. Not always having a clear answer to the underlying philosophical questions posed by the cases. The comic relief is usually from the very human, moderately flawed characters running up against each other and the issues. Good stuff to chew on but not so dense that you've gotta work overtime to digest it. We have a new-fangled satellite receiver-recorder with an option to record new episodes of a show, so I haven't paid any attention to scheduling--whenever there's a new episode it will show up on our list of recorded shows. Very convenient. |
Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: John on the Sunset Coast Date: 18 Feb 12 - 12:13 PM I believe this show has (or is about to) gone to syndication hell, assuming there are enough episodes to do so. I liked the first season concept, wacky as it was, much better than the medium sized law office of the second season. It reminds me of the OLD "The Defenders" series of my youth, in terms of the issues it tackles(ed). |
Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: Stilly River Sage Date: 18 Feb 12 - 12:46 PM I watched it for a few episodes, I like the people in the cast and some of the guests who come in, but for a big city drama they operate in an awfully small self-referential pond and it was feeling too contrived. It is a soap box that could be better disguised as a soap box. When I stopped watching it still didn't feel like it was doing anything more than choosing the social issue crime of the week disguised as a courtroom drama. SRS |
Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: Arkie Date: 18 Feb 12 - 02:27 PM According the the website, Harry's Law returns on March 11. |
Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: catspaw49 Date: 18 Feb 12 - 02:36 PM Lot of changes in it too. Coming back as "Harry Legg and his Lady Gillette"........................... Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: Mudjack Date: 18 Feb 12 - 08:55 PM I look forward to it each week and consider myself a "not connected" TV watcher. Harry's Law has pulled me in. I hate to crush anyone's favorite show.....I keep thinking that the writing are re-writes from Boston Legal. That's OK with me, they're equally as great. |
Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: Stilly River Sage Date: 19 Feb 12 - 01:25 AM Programs mature as the writers and characters get the feel for what they need to be doing. Perhaps this program has done that since I stopped watching. The courtroom drama I never miss is The Good Wife. SRS |
Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: Bobert Date: 19 Feb 12 - 09:45 PM Thanks all, for keeping up... I hope that the show goes on... B~ |
Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: jacqui.c Date: 20 Feb 12 - 08:29 AM I just love Kathy Bates - not you usual lead performer but she wipes the floor with the rest of the cast. I hope this one doesn't go down the drain. |
Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: Crowhugger Date: 21 Feb 12 - 02:23 AM I'm a Kathy Bates admirer too. How many seasons have there been in the US? In Canada we just had 1st season last fall. |
Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: Bobert Date: 21 Feb 12 - 08:49 AM I think 2 years but with only about 6 or so new episodes a season... B~ |
Subject: RE: BS: Any 'Harry's Law' Fans & ??? From: jacqui.c Date: 21 Feb 12 - 09:34 AM In other words - small, but perfectly formed. |
