Bought this moonshine yesterday called Midnight Moon. I decided to try the strawberry although they have cherry, apple and blueberry. It comes in sort of a Mason jar and it has starwberries in it practically bleached white. 100 proof. Didn't take much. I got plastered without meaning to--strong stuff. Of course, eating one of the strawberries didn't help. The alcohol is so strong that if you hold the mouth of the jar up to your mouth an inhale through your mouth, your gag reflex kicks in. Boy, that first swallow goes down ok but you start warming up right away. It felt like I had a pot-bellied stove in my chest. The good thing is, I got plastered on so little alcohol that I have no hangover. I choked down that strawberry and the next thing I know, it's 4 am and I'm laying on the couch with no memory of laying there.

So tonight, a buddy is holding a bonfire up north and I'll be going to that. Take my guitar, uke and amp and have a ball. I have a full 5th of Everclear 190 proof. A coworker gave me a soft drink called 60/40 and says it's great for diluting alcohol with. I'm debating whether to take this with me or just grab some black ale as I usually do. I do no want to get like I was last night where I don't remember anything I did. That's kind of scary. Normally, I would have to get really, really drunk for that to happen but that damned moonshine doesn't have to work that hard. I want to drink all night long without getting shitfaced so I guess I should go for the ale.

Decisions decision.
