Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: Jack the Sailor Date: 03 Aug 12 - 06:34 PM He has had his lies pointed out before. He just doubles down and starts over. He is the Terminator of liars. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 03 Aug 12 - 07:33 PM The trouble with pointing out a politician's lies is that supporters will completeley ignore it, or they'll say it's a lying smear - or if the lie can't be covered over, they'll treat it a bit of admirable smart pratice in the rough and tumble of politics. As for the undecided, they'll mostly be people who aren't too interested ite minutiae of politics, and in any case they take it as read that all politicians are liars anyway. No matter what country you are in. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: Jack the Sailor Date: 03 Aug 12 - 07:37 PM IMHO, this guy is an exceptional liar. I hope that we only see him until November. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: Don(Wyziwyg)T Date: 03 Aug 12 - 07:44 PM Walter Mitt(y) Romney! Don T. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: Elmore Date: 04 Aug 12 - 01:44 PM Pathological liar.Lies so easily he hardly realizes he's lying. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: YorkshireYankee Date: 04 Aug 12 - 02:41 PM Yes, Elmore. I think those types are the scariest -- certainly the most dangerous. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: Richard Bridge Date: 04 Aug 12 - 03:25 PM The problem is that if that plays out onto a world stage it could start a war (unintentionally). Or indeed lead to the deliberate malice of a war started from jingoism. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: Ebbie Date: 04 Aug 12 - 03:43 PM We do live in 'interesting' times. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: Jack the Sailor Date: 04 Aug 12 - 04:36 PM He basically is threatening war with Iran. If he can be taken at his word ;-p |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: Greg F. Date: 04 Aug 12 - 05:58 PM What good would The Greatest Country On Earth be if it didn't have a war (or three) going on somewhere? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 04 Aug 12 - 06:05 PM He probably actually thinks that an attack by Israel will actually just mean a one-off raid without serious consequences. Maybe he even believes that it would reduce the possibiity of Iran getting nuclear weapons, rather than turn that possibility into a ironcad certainty. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: Greg F. Date: 04 Aug 12 - 06:12 PM Keep in mind he's as big a jackass as he is a liar. A Romney Presidency would be a disaster for the whole world, not just the U.S. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: Bobert Date: 04 Aug 12 - 07:44 PM There are bullies and then there are folks who have the $$$ to pay others to bully the people they don't have the guts to bully themselves... Romney falls in that latter group... Psychopath... B~ |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: GUEST,Ebor_Fiddler Date: 05 Aug 12 - 08:27 AM Is his name REALLY Mitt? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: Jeri Date: 05 Aug 12 - 09:11 AM It's "Willard Mitt Romney". "Willard" was the king rat, no? Then came "Ben" and the Michael Jackson song. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: Greg F. Date: 05 Aug 12 - 09:45 AM HEY! On behalf of rats worldwide, I must lodge a protest against rats - noble creatures that they are - being in any way associated with Mr. Romney. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: Arkie Date: 05 Aug 12 - 10:21 AM While I agree that it would be tragedy to put Romney in the White House, the very worst thing would be to have a Republican congress with Romney in the White House. Whoever is pulling the strings of present day republicans figure they will manage Romney in the same way they controlled Bush. Romeny may be a little smarter than Bush in some ways but his ego is larger and he is no match for those manipulating the present day republican party. His mouth coupled with his thoughtlessness will certain damage this country in the eyes of the world should he be elected. Obama has, at least, raised the level of respect for the country worldwide although the republican opposition to every positive attempt has had a neutralizing effect. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: Jack the Sailor Date: 05 Aug 12 - 11:33 AM >> Whoever is pulling the strings of present day republicans figure they will manage Romney in the same way they controlled Bush.<< Grover Norquist |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: Greg F. Date: 05 Aug 12 - 12:05 PM And Rove & the Koch Brothers & the rest of the Plutocrats. This is some sort of a secret??? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: Jack the Sailor Date: 05 Aug 12 - 12:14 PM Grover pulls the strings. Kochs' "American Enterprise Institute" set the the agenda. Rove plans the dirty tricks and turns all of governing into a campaign for the next election. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 09 Aug 12 - 07:07 PM Ry Cooder: 'Mitt Romney is a dangerous man, a cruel man' Ry Cooder is not just a brilliant musician... I just downloaded "Election Special". "The 90 and the 9" is the standout track for me,on a single listen. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mitt's Mendacity From: GUEST Date: 10 Aug 12 - 05:26 PM Perhaps I should have posted this above the line. But while it's convenient to separate out the music and the non-music threads, I like to assume that the BS people are primarily here because of the music. |
