Subject: BS: Mudcat mojo for J-boy From: ranger1 Date: 10 Aug 12 - 11:20 AM After way too long and many applications and resumes dropped off later, J-boy had a job interview yesterday for a job he'd be perfect for. There were two others to be interviewed, so we could use a little of that awesome Mudcat mojo sent Jason's way. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat mojo for J-boy From: YorkshireYankee Date: 12 Aug 12 - 12:00 AM Wow -- really hope this all works out for you! Of course you do intend to send a follow-up thankyou-for-the-interview note, this weekend, yes? FACT: Would you believe that only 10% of job applicants take the time to send interview thank you notes? Good luck! |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat mojo for J-boy From: gnu Date: 12 Aug 12 - 06:36 PM The follow-up letter/email is only good if you want to reinforce or expand on the interview/discussions/notes. Otherwise, you are badgering the interviewer(s). Not a good idea. If you don't provide something fresh and new you are providing a reason to place yer file at the bottom of the pile. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat mojo for J-boy From: ChanteyLass Date: 12 Aug 12 - 11:04 PM I've always heard that the thank-you-for-the-interview note is a good idea. Even if a candidate doesn't get the job, his demonstration of good manners might put him at the top of the list for the next job. Of course, J-boy will get this job, and his demonstration of good manners will be appreciated and remembered when he starts working. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat mojo for J-boy From: John MacKenzie Date: 15 Aug 12 - 04:09 AM I bet he is. Go have a Guinness or two to calm yer nerves J-Boy. |
