The originality of some folks never ceases to amaze ... and startle..me.

Note... the examples go on...and on... and on... do not try to absorb it all at one time.

(Many, if not most, of them are taken from Etsy... and some actually see pretty well.)

Weird! I rather liked the surgical mask with a smiling mouth, and the knitted skull. As a knitter, I was trying to work out how they'd done it. But (forgive my ignorance Bill) what is/are Etsy?

I saw no mask - but I think the skull is crochet, which would be easier to work as you went than knitting.

The mask was on a later page, 3 or 4. A bit startling for a patient to see the doctor wearing that! Yes, I reckon the skull is crochet Penny, which sadly I never learned to do, in spite of having an Irish auntie who crocheted constantly without looking and churned out endless beautiful things.

Etsy is an online sales forum for crafts... like having a small booth at a show.

LOTS of dolls & bead stringing... and other stuff.

Of Etsy?

At the bottom of each strange craft pic is a link to 'source'... most of those are Etsy

I hope this won't cause too much controversy but I personally will not be dating anyone wearing slug earrings.

A woman's purse with a handy compartment for a Glock semi.

That was my creative response this morning, but I am sure that someone beat me to it.

Glock is that little creative gem from Austria. Their North American website also shows creativity-

Thanks Bill D, you made my day. Love that toddlerpede. Okay so yah maybe my sense of humour is a little unconventional... Anyway just had to come say thanks, now I'll go back and enjoy some more weird stuff. Cool.

Eliza it's not too late to learn to crochet. (Thread drift alert:)Have someone show you with some fairly hefty yarn (or better yet something non-stretchy like macrame cord, or a skinny ribbon if you can get it cheaply enough) and a big hook. That makes it easy to see what's happening and really understand how it works. Then just experiment by making something that doesn't matter, like free form Christmas ornaments (later sew on beads or sequins for bling); a puppet monster (aim for roughly a sock puppet but with peculiar, scary face); or abstract sculpture. That abstract sculpture might end up as the a conversation piece tea cosy! Try out all the stitches, see what happens if you do half a row in 1 stitch and the rest in another, learn the difference between crocheting rows vs in the round, try the same fibre with a smaller hook and bigger hook, etc. etc. BTW with sculpture, flexible wire or stiff wire works well lieu of the first row of foundation chain stitch, and lets you give your piece of art either a fixed or changeable shape, depending on the wire you choose.

Now back to regular programming...

Bill:

Are you really sure that "creativity" is the word you're looking for?

A

Why sure, Amos! They are ALL creative artists!

(as in "artist"- someone who makes a supply, whether or not there's any demand.)(shucks...*I* am one of those)
