I think since the last time I was here, I lost a job and gained a job, lost a dog and gained two more, and gained a few pounds (which I'm trying to get rid of, but now that I'm 45. . . ah well). Been listening to a lot of Dave Swarbrick's work and trying to steal some of his licks.

Its fall here in coastal Carolina. Screens are open, sun is setting, but the Carolina Panthers are losing this year, so of course, I am despondent. :-)

I have plenty of consolations, especially songs, booze, malicious fantasies, and one good buddy. A lot of people I admire put up with me.

I'll be 75 next month. A lot of people that age are going to be sick for the rest of their lives. I'm not sick.

On the other hand, almost everything reminds me of something I'm ashamed of. Sort of arthritis of the mind.
