...to the same person. October 6, 1973 (the day the Yom Kippur War started) I was married at St. Andrew's Church, Silver Spring, Maryland. This has surprised more than a few people.

No, the ceremony was traditional -- we did not skydive naked while the priest did the vows and the blessing or anything like that. We DID toss in a few surprised for our parents, but nothing like fireworks or strippers or The Stones -- and the recessional was from the "Royal Fireworks Suite" although no one recognized it.

BTW, it's not too late to get her a KitchenAid stand mixer like the one I showed you which I just bought. I'll bet she'd be really excited if you surprised her with one. Just make sure you give it to her BEFORE you give her the new firearm.
