Hi

So many suggestions here for prostate help.

I am going to hospital next week to get the results of the protate biopsies that I had done a couple of weeks ago. I will talk to the doctors there and see what if anything they will recommend.

Many thanks to all who made comments and suggestions.

Dan....wot me smoke zinc !!!???? Never smoked even one cigarette in my whole life.

Now drink........well that's another story !!!

MikeL2... pomegranate juice for prostate enlargement (my GP; he also said apple juice is okay but not near as good). It WORKS... just ask little gnu! He is relieved. >;-) And, it decelerates cancer growth.

Found another one by wonderful accident today at the gocery store. Guy in front of me at the cash was buying pumpkin seeds and I asked the usual questions. His answer was "prostate" and don't roast them. Googled that and found the seeds MAY help but usual dosing of pumpkin seed oil is a "fer sure as much as can be" in the cancer aspect... trying to find studies about dosage next. If you find any, lemmie know eh?

Oh, yeah, there is a "new" surgery for prostate cancer that is essentially non-invasive as it is done with light or laser or? Haven't had time to research it.

I am being pro-active on researching info about my prostate as I just ain't gonna sit around with my thumb up my ass on it. >;-) again.

my big gun doc buddie said for people that have reoccurring prostate issues zinc is great. You can pick it up at any drug store. Take zinc everyday it shrinks the thing I guess.

Hi Guys

Good news in that I had the cataract op with no problems from the raised Blood Pressure. Seems that I have managed to overcome the "white coat syndrome".

The eye is healing great and my sight in the operated-on eye is improving as the eye heals. The impact is already fantastic and makes one helluva difference.

Long sight is now great but will still require reading glasses. Got to wait a while until the eye settles down though.

Still not heard about the prostate biopsies but that is because we wanted to get the cataract op out of the way before we booked an appointment. Good news is that they haven't contacted me so it doesn't seem as if there is anything too sinister or they would have rung me.

I hope you are getting over your problem without any problems.

I promised that I would reply when I had had my biopsies on my swollen prostate.

Well I had a scan and the biopsies were taken last Wednesday and afterwards the consultant said he took "several pieces." He said that he couldn't say what the procedure would produce and I will have to wait for a few days for the test results to get back. I have to ring the hospital if I haven't heard by the week-end.

Only today they have called me in to go to have the cataract removed from my left eye next week - Friday. You may remember that on another thread I told about going for the op and my blood pressure rocketed so high that they wouldn't do it. Since then I have suffered from this raising of the pressure each time I go to the doctors or hospital. They call it White Coat Syndrome.They didn't need to check the pressure to perform the biopsy so I don't know if it was high or not.

The eye surgeon has prescribed some kind of relaxant to take prior to the operation so I have all my digits crossed.....Gnu !!!!
