My, we've been a bit importunate haven't we, badgering Santa with complaining letters. Well, round here Christmas doesn't happen till Dec 25, so you just possess your soul in patience. I have whipped the elves down the jewellery mine, so they might come up with something.You just watch the skies, and make sure there is a glass of sherry and a mince pie put out for me under the tree on the Big Night.

Received my package with no return address (sneaky Santa...) but with inside hints (at least once I opened the prezzies) to know it came from the vicinity of Albuquerque, so that narrows it down and I'm guessing it may be from my 2010 Santee...(though it could be from someone else in the family).

I had good intentions to wait until Christmas morning...but I just couldn't.

Thank you! (I'm especially looking forward to, uh, "sipping" one of the wine-filled chocolates! And listening to the CDs. And using the noseflute, perhaps, while caroling...)

Just meaning that I'll have to put anything up high, not on a normal table, or the four-legged inhabitants will have a wonderful midnight snack. Better take a look at the top of the Hoosier kitchen in the breakfast area - I don't think the Labrador retriever will be able to mooch your cookies from up there.

I've got a present - it arrived this morning and I've been really good and left it under the tree. Thank you so much! All I know so far, is that my Santa is in the US - I will have to wait until the day to send a proper thank you. There was an empty wine glass in the kitchen this morning, so I assume you didn't fancy 'Nelson's Blood'?!

And yet another bag at my doorstep. I was foolish to think that Santa was going to follow through on his/her threat and continue the ugly creche theme. This time it is a soft and beautiful scarf that matches mittens I bought while playing with Jacqui. HMMMMM. Santa remembered the beloved beasts too with cheesy treats and Original Crunch. Had to fight them for the gift bag.

Watching carefully - are you batty enough yet? Just because you opened the package already doesn't mean any secrets must be revealed before the day. I do feel free to say that you can peruse the performers lists on the CDs and find no familiar names.

Yay! Well, sorta yay. We're heading to Texas Saturday to spend Christmas with our daughter's family, but if it doesn't get here in the next two days it will be here to enjoy when we return...that will reduce temptation, anyway.

Many thanks, Santa! The postman managed to deliver your wonderful package to the wrong address (not difficult in our area) and this meant we had to go and collect it, thereby making the better acquaintance of some neighbours who are extremely nice people (and he is the local vet). So in addition to a fab pile of goodies (well, I'm guessing, as of course I've been good and left them unopened for now at least) we've got to know some more local people. Double win!

Welll, o' course yer pressie got there! Whaddya take me fer? Me 'n the reindeer wouldn't let you down, even though the weather sometimes seemed to put the "rain" in "reindeer" if ya get my drift!
As fer the grog, I don't touch the stuff while on the job, but Prancer, well, has refined tastes. I had to keep the rest of 'em away from the stronger stuff, cuz we have many more ports of call before we pull into our own harbor next week.

Has your last mail of the day before the holiday come and gone? I sent it to arrive "just in the Saint Nick of time." Usually once these things reach altitude when they are cruising (i.e., Priority Mail) from a westerly direction they get there very quickly.

Well, Santa...I've been enjoying listening to the CDs whose musicians you described as being "neighbors", so I THINK I've narrowed you down to Albuquerque, although in my neck of the woods (New Hampshuh, by godfrey) "neighbor" could mean the surrounding three states and the Maritimes...

I've PMed my suspicians...I do hope you'll gratify me with an answer on "the day" as promised!

BTW, I've restrained myself and only eaten one of the liqueur-filled chocolates...but maybe I'll do some caroling with the noseflute tonight....

Such a wonderful assortment of goodies from Down Undah! I LOVE the hot/cold pack with the covering shaped like a turtleneck sweater with a black cat on! And the black cat figure now resides on the windowsill, where the 2 live ones have been staring at it like it's a long lost cousin...

Ho Ho Ho! Linn (Her Battiness) and I have something in common -- We both got gifties from Albuquerque! I got CDs (which I haven't had a chance to listen to yet), "Texas red wine liquid center chocolates" (sounds fantastic!), a southwestern cookbook filled with interesting-sounding ideas, and a cut-out card that looks like fun! Oh -- and let's not forget the nose flute! Thank you Santa! I'm not sure which of us was blessed by Art and which by Jenn, but it doesn't really matter -- both are fine folks and excellent Santas!

I had a wonderful box of surprises from Hils. When I got over the shock it might be cat food I found a lovely ocarina some homemade chocolate fudge - very yummy a cd of Hilary sining and some great little candle holders. Thanks so much a real surprise!

Thank you Bat Goddess! The t-shirt is lovely, and the color suits me well. I hope I remember to pack it for Old Songs next year. I Love maps, etc. with notes attached; I just wish there was such interesting stuff to pick i]up in my local fast food joints. Most of my time in New Hampshire has been in the Mount Monadnock area, but I see that you're kind of close to Dover NH. Do you know Poor Howard and Barb Trow from up that way? The cd's look to be a real treat, especially Curmudgeon's. I was going to play it in the van won my way to work today, but the library got closed due to a bad winter storm, so that's a treat for tomorrow. In the meantime today, I got started on that lovely bit of cross stitch. Thanks again!

Thank you to my suspected Secret Santa(s), Kendall with his elven helper Jacqui. From wonderful dvds and cd starring Himself to a wonderful old songbook, from handmade warm winter scarves for Truelove and me to a box for photos and other treasures, topped off with chamomile tea to help us sleep and good dark chocolate to delight us- the hand-delivered package was packed full of goodwill and fun.

Hi, Barb'ry! So glad you like the loot! I didn't spin the yarn, but the spinning mill is just 4 miles away, in the next village. One of the last small-family-business spinning mills in the USA.

...still haven't gotten my Santa pressie. But it's only the fourth day of Christmas, right?
