Four years ago Garth Turner exposed Stephen Harper's way of dealing with his Conservative MP's. Turner showed how ignorant and domineering Harper really was, but his methods kept most of the Consertave MP's with their noses planted firmly in his arse. Now at last some members have grown the balls to stand up to him. Long live the revolt!
Garth Turner 2009

The only thing that surprises me about that is that anyone would be surprised by it. I think a lot of politicians enter politics with good intentions. But if they stay it is not long until they become the same as the rest of the back-stabbing, power-hungry, money-gubbing bastards that reckon they are best equipped to run our lives.

Not that I am cynical or anything...

"Stephen Harper's Caucus Revolts"

I find The Hair to be as revolting as his caucus.

The digruntled MP's wanted to mount a soapbox on the abortion issue, which has no business being raised in parliament.
Harper vowed to close down the abortion talk sometime ago; he should be supported on this issue.

Can we please not discuss Mr. Harper's revolting caucus?

Q... what about the MP that wanted to discuss "professional wrestling"? It was obviously a light-hearted attempt at some levity early in the day but he was told, "Ahhh. I don't hink so, Tim."

Further, don't try to whitewash what happened to Turner... that is some sick shit from a PM of Canada and it surely declares to all that he is incompetent in the realm of decency. Sommat most Canucks see every time we see that little smirking smile and the brown nose above it.

Give me Trudeau or end the gun registry until we get Trudeau (or equivalent) in power (sorry, ferriners... that's an inside joke).

Q, my point is not on the underlying abortion issue, but on the ability of an MP to speak freely in Parliament to represent his electorate. Citizens elected their represenatives to bring forth their issues and for Harper to try and stifle that shows the stripe of a dictator! The means that he uses to do so have been exposed in the past by Garth Turner and Bill Casey. Both were Tories but democratic people who believed that their first loyalty was to those who sent them to "The Hill"! Diefenbaker, Stanfield, and John A must roll in their graves to see what has happend to their "PROGRESSIVE" party!
Jack, there is a great difference between a revolting caucus and one that has balls enough revolt against a revolting bully of a leader! Give credit where it is due!

I think that was the point Jack was making--I know it was when I posted earlier. A few MPs have intestinal fortitude in the Conservative Party, but it sure seems like too little too late.

I often wonder how Chretien worked behind closed doors. I considered him a truly masterful politician but to wield the power he did seems... I can't find the right words... unequalled? Yeah, good enough.

As far as Barbie Doll is concerened, the taxpayer $s that were allocated to build her old man's... nevermind. Trudeau will claw back some semblance of reality IF Jean lends a hand. Even then.... ?

The past while has been truely revolting to many Canucks. I am truly saddened that Mum has to see him and his ilk destroy what she and her generation and the generations before worked and fought for. All for $... for I see no other explantion for the insane shit.

The fiscal policies? The foreign policies? The immigration policies? The gun law crap? The... just one more... an infirm that could grow their own for free will now have to pay $28k per year to a drug company?????? That is revolting.

Goverment crap is often set to begin on April first. An examlple is that the HST begins on PEI today and that ain't no April fools joke! Harper is paying the PEI government a handsome bribe to implement it but I doubt many on that fair isle are laughing!
