We're very much looking forward to Peter being fully back in the harness and performing at the 3rd Bury St Edmunds Oxjam Folk Weekend on the 26th-27th October.

Hello.

I notice that it is over 2 months since there was an update here, so I thought I'd let you know what has been happening. First an update for those who haven't yet read the entire thread. There I was, chugging along quite happily when my life suddenly hit the buffers. It was something over which I had no control. However, I am now able to type (with the great assistance of Mr. Spellchecker) and beginning to feel more like my old self.

It is a slow old business but I am happy to report that I am slowly improving and following a determined regime of exercises that keep me busy. I can now drive (short distances) and am walking (with a cane). I don't go that far when I walk, however. I have also battered my recalcitrant fingers into playing some of my guitar accompaniments although the faster, more complicated accompaniments are still in abeyance. Friends up this way have also encouraged me to go to some sessions and Pete Allison got me to play at Swaffham Free Festival, so life is slowly returning!

I hope all is well with you. I am very grateful to everyone for their continuing support. What a bunch!

Yes, this is true, although it must be said I only was able to go for an hour and I croaked rather than sang! The folks there were very kind and didn't throw anything.

The beer was lovely...well worth waiting for. Trevor keeps an excellent pint.

Luckily the pub is only about 500 yards away from my front door or I would not have been able to make it there so easily.

Just a quick update from the pen of Pete himself, rather than family members.

Life is a round of blood tests, physio and blood pressure taking at the moment. It changes your perspective. Typing is interesting too. Lots of mistakes to correct!

I am moving around (slow shuffle) and getting more feeling back in my hand. Hopefully manage to get to the village pub soon.
