I know - you want to carry your rifle or shotgun around with you but you don't want to look like an NRA nutcase? You'd rather look like a cool hip musician? Here's your solution. And it's on sale - just in time for Christmas:

See ad here

Tactical Performance™ Guitar Gun Case

Designed for holding most rifles and shotguns, the Tactical Performance™ Guitar Gun Case features rugged 600-denier polyester construction and hideaway backpack straps with an adjustable shoulder strap for easy carrying.

Wow! Many a guitarist may want to use this one on stage in order to achieve a significant audience impact at last.

Didn't Antonio Banderas do that already in a couple of films?

Seems like an excuse for Homeland Security to gun down a few guitarists ( nominate here!).

Al Capone was a fiddler they say, when packing his Thompson.

Just what I've always wanted. No, I play trumpet. How about one for banjo players -- TSA could actually do everyone a favor!

Most banjo players are already packing a deadly weapon...

Tuba cases will be good for small nuclear devices.

Only in America, home of the brave and land of the gun.

Which is why the braves are almost extinct!

That'll give Zimmerman somewhere to hide an illegal shotgun!

Jaysus.

How hard is it these days to apply for and be granted British citizenship? Or Canadian citizenship?

Dunno how much longer I can stand the embarrassment.

Grab the wrong case, and you can terrorize the mall with an Ovation.

Guns carried in musical instrument cases is, of course, one of the clichés of the "gangster" genre. There's a James Thurber story in which it occurs, called "The Remarkable Case of Mr Bruhl", in the collection called The Middle-aged Man on the Flying Trapeze (1935).

A long time ago, back in the early 70's a friend of mine (name withheld) was playing a few gigs in Belfast. Walking through the city carrying his guitar case he was stopped by squaddies. He was asked "what have you got in the case mate" He glibly replied "AK47" at which point he had one British Army issue rifle stuffed down his ear and another pressed against the base of his skull. Bit of a mistake he quickly realised taking the piss out of squaddies !!

That might be handy in Ireland now & again:

I'll go to the session, take me shotgun along
And I'll shoot the next b*****d who asks for that song.
And the hangman may say, as I drop through the floor
Now you never will play the Wild Rover no more...

ankle holster is a better idea you are sitting down usually when playing and towards the end of the song you can always cross your legs . no hecklers at anytime
