Lost my mother in law today. What a great kind lady she was. I can only hope to be as nice a person as she was. We are ok just sad but we rejoice in the time we had with her. Up until a couple weeks ago she was healthy active and a very happy elderly lady.

She will be missed. My kids are taking it hard. They are now grandma less but still have lots of memories

There are mothers-in-law, and there are other mothers-in-law. Mine was also a gem, something like twenty years gone now.

"great and kind"- what a wonderful memory. And I can believe that your kids are taking it hard; when my father died - at 93 - my daughter was devastated. She said that she had "just kind of thought he'd be there forever".

Anyway, congratulations on having had a wonderful mother in law.

Just keep the happy memories and have your kids do so as well and know that she'd expect nothing less.

I'm sorry that someone you loved so much has left you, Dan. It's wonderful that she was able to be healthy happy and active almost up to the end.

I'm sure that you all will feel sad this Christmas without her. When you do, try to think of happy memories of her. I'm sure there are no shortage of those.

So sorry Dan. At least your kids had two for a good while and they were obviously good ones. Makes for a tough Holiday time though......

Funny thing....I thought about calling you yesterday but I wam still recovering from last week's chemo so thought I'd wait, but you were strongly in my mind.
