There is no such thing as Fox News. It's Fox Views and it's simply smart people manipulating the dumbmasses for $. The $64,000 Question was let off the hook in court because the defense claimed it was "entertainment" so spreading racial hatred is actually defensible in a court of law in the US. Sick; perverted? Well, so are many viewers, apparently.

Fox is what happens when rich people decide to shape public opinion; to alter public discourse, and to direct citizens along the path of someone's agenda. That much is obvious. What is less obvious but certainly equally puzzling--at least to me--is the weakness of intelligence that leads to the brouhaha so readily accepted by the citizenry. Thinking people could not possibly accept Fox News at face value. IMO, anyone who does should have the lobotomy reversed--if possible.

You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows. You got a window? Open it!

Fox learned marketing from Sunday TV evangelist(ic) shows. They took most of that audience with them. And there they be.

Yeah obvious, but not the whole story. All in the Family was popular and funny because we saw people we knew in the characters.

If Archie Bunker, the character was on T.V. now. His T.V. would be tuned to Fox News. Mike and Gloria would be watching "MSNBC" and "Democracy Now" on their iPads.


There has always been a market for what FNN peddles. Now Fox and Limbaugh and others have learned to monetize that demand.

News as a purveyor of 'information without spin' went south years ago. It has become an aspect of entertainment and persuasion, imo. Now we have the rich and famous helping to guide public perception. Pity that the population has been dumbed down sufficiently so that nearly half of the citizenry thinks creation science is a valuable contribution to the lexicon of human knowledge and that subjects like creationism and a universe that is only 10,000 years old are worthy of debate. Don't make sense to me. But people tend to defend what they are taught to defend. That part's easy. The difficult aspect of it is the explanation.

One of my daughters at a fairly young age wandered by a Sunday morning "we will pray for you but send the donations or dazilted subsackous ill will befall you and screw your karma" religious show on TV. Even at the tender age of five she recognized BS when she heard it. Her remark as she passed the screen was, "Yeah, right!"

News, or any communication has always had a slant. Also there has always been money in telling ignorant people what they want to hear. The only thing new about Fox News is the size of the operation.
