Subject: RE: BS: Bad Hair Cuts - 10% discounts From: Ed T Date: 15 Apr 14 - 03:01 PM I recall a discount haircut shop set up next to an established one. To lure customers in, a big sign went up that read: "Why pay more, Haircuts, $6.00" Frustrated that they would lose customers, the established shop put up a sign the next day. It read: "We fix $6.00 Haircuts! |
Subject: RE: BS: Bad Hair Cuts - 10% discounts From: GUEST Date: 15 Apr 14 - 03:04 PM I had a dog looked like that. I shaved its arse and taught it to walk backwards. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bad Hair Cuts - 10% discounts From: gnu Date: 15 Apr 14 - 03:13 PM I wish I could get a haircut like that. I mean, I don't mind going bald but if I had my druthers eh? |
Subject: RE: BS: Bad Hair Cuts - 10% discounts From: Musket Date: 16 Apr 14 - 09:32 AM When I first saw this story, I felt like standing on the pavement outside their embassy with a camera snapping away at anyone who comes in or out. I am fairly well travelled and have seen some things in my time, but I get the feeling that once his people string him up from a lamppost and let the press in, the world will be wringing its hands that we could allow such savages to thrive. Still, The BBC is doing its bit. Selling them Teletubbies and Dr Who. I'd love to be able (note the clause) to have his haircut. There again, I speak from the perspective of a slap head. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bad Hair Cuts - 10% discounts From: Mr Red Date: 16 Apr 14 - 10:09 AM reminds me of the old joke about the barber who was asked "what kind of haircut is this?" to which the barber said "Elvis Presly cut" "But Elvis doesn't have his hair like this" "He does if he comes into my barber's shop!" or if he goes to North Korea it would seem. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bad Hair Cuts - 10% discounts From: Rapparee Date: 16 Apr 14 - 09:41 PM N. Korea feels insulted by the smallest of things. Symptomatic of a truly paranoid country. China has said that it does not want any nuclear testing on the Korean peninsula and that China "continues to play a positive role in ensuring the Korean Peninsula has a soft landing." Of course, N. Korea HAS called the President of S. Korea "scum" and "an old bitch." The sooner the Kim Dynasty becomes part of the past the better. |

Subject: RE: BS: Bad Hair Cuts - 10% discounts From: GUEST,Eliza Date: 17 Apr 14 - 02:12 PM In today's Daily Mail (I know, I know) they've transposed Kim Jong Un's hairstyle onto several celebrities. I reckon Boris Johnson and David Cameron look quite nice like that. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bad Hair Cuts - 10% discounts From: GUEST,Musket Date: 17 Apr 14 - 03:03 PM Luckily Clancy's novels are so full of hilarious gaffs we can just about discount any lessons from them. Here, they stopped being best sellers when Dan Brown took over the bollocks scenario. (Clancy's amazing view of "Brits" was rather unnerving so when not a single person here fits the description he describes, it can confuse some of our cousins.) Hopefully Kim Young 'un reads them though so next year he will be sporting a Sir Basil type flop. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bad Hair Cuts - 10% discounts From: GUEST Date: 17 Apr 14 - 03:43 PM Red Storm Rising had relatively little to do with Britons or their characters. However, I agree with your raw assessment. I disliked Patriot Games because his treatment of the Irish and English was so bland. The movie was a travesty. While we could sit back and tear Clancy apart, he wrote a few excellent novels and his assessment of some world situations has been close to the mark. And it is that to which I referred earlier. |

Subject: RE: BS: Bad Hair Cuts - 10% discounts From: GUEST Date: 17 Apr 14 - 08:21 PM Says to the hairdresser, "cut off a bit here, a bit deeper there, leave it sticking out here". Hairdresser replies, "That's stupid, I can't do that". "Well you did it that way two weeks ago". |
Subject: RE: BS: Bad Hair Cuts - 10% discounts From: GUEST Date: 18 Apr 14 - 08:46 AM Sounds like a right carry-on - who was it telling the guillotine operator "Not too much off the back, please?" |
Subject: RE: BS: Bad Hair Cuts - 10% discounts From: GUEST Date: 18 Apr 14 - 02:20 PM As luck would have it, the BBC is broadcasting it as I type. Charles Hawtree as the Duc de PommFrit - Not too much off the top, please... |
