Subject: RE: BS: Where is olddude? From: Rapparee Date: 29 Nov 16 - 09:24 AM "Where" is a question-begging question. For can we know "where" we ourselves are, much less "where" anyone else is? And doesn't "where" depend upon the "when", as the space-time continuum continues? The very continuance of the continuum predicates change, and with the continuance of change in the continuum the questions of "where" and "when" become moot, save in a non-Euclidian construct. To ask "Where is olddude" by itself changes the continuance of the continuum construct, curving and even cracking it until it no longer is what it was before. Thus the answer is unknowable, and olddude is lost to us in both space and time. Would that the question had not been asked, for then olddude could have been found! |

Subject: RE: BS: Where is olddude? From: keberoxu Date: 20 Jan 17 - 12:42 PM Jello, schmello. If olddude is watching The Occasion on television today, it would be downright humbling. I recall olddude's posting, now a number of years back, that Hillary would rather not run, and he would rather she didn't. And today, it's not Hillary being sworn in. Personally, I want Mrs. Clinton alive and well, because we still need her around. And I fear the Oval Office would be the death of her, so better if she serves outside of it, whatever she does. It calls Ted Kennedy to mind: the presidential campaigns were beside the point, in the end, for he served long and well without being in the Oval Office. Sigh. |
