I, also, contacted the publisher & was told that they've "had some production delays in the making of the book, but we are expecting it to be in the first week of July." This was from Shannon Butler,
Islandport Press. Keep your eyes open, folks!

I did a signing yesterday at my local hardware store, they also carry my old book, and I sold 22 new books. If I make a million dollars, first thing I'll do is put a new tire on my wheelbarrow.

No dating site. I wrote something that interested Kendall on a particular thread and we started corresponding. After about a year we met when he came to the UK and the rest is history.

Hey, I think it would be really nice to have the only dating site in the world where you could actually meet someone who was into folk music. A few years ago a friend of mine signed up on some dating sites (don't know which ones they were) but I think they were some well known ones. She told me she had indicated that folk music was her passion and # 1 interest but apparently no matches with the same interest came up for her. I think she said there were some guys who were into country music big time - but none into folk.
Yes, she had other interests but really wanted to meet someone who loved folk music.
Oh yeah, she told me she went ahead and met a few of the country music fans and hoped that they might be into folk but they were not into folk music. I remember she told me that she asked them if they knew the music of Sandy Denny & Fairport Convention and was shocked to find out that these country guys did not even know who they were.

It was quite by accident. neither Jacqui nor I were looking for a mate.

I've had some interesting encounters with singles; funny and pathetic at the same time. Jacqui was a breath of fresh air for me; I was the end of a hard winter for her. :-)

By the way, when you met Jacqui from UK, did you go over and stay in UK awhile and go out on dates there? Or how (besides communicating on this Mudcat for awhile) did you get to know each other?
I hope I am not being too noisy but I think it is really nice that you met up with someone who had the folk music in common and especially you were living in two different countries.

Tina - Kendall and I had been sending pms and emails back and forward for close on to a year when he came over to the UK. He had had a three way bypass earlier in the year and there was a long thread about that with all sorts of nice things being dais about him. On the basis that he couldn't possibly pay that many people, or fool so many, into doing that I told him he could stay with me when he came over. He thought I was a bit flaky, well, maybe so. I had no intention of getting involved as I had quite a good life over there, but once we met........
