Subject: BS: ring bells noon sunday child abuse vict. From: GUEST,mg Date: 29 May 15 - 05:05 PM Was in Huff post today. Bells will ring across canada at noon this sunday, your time, for first nations victims of child abuse at horrific institutions. I think we should do it around the world. Noon, your time, ring a bell if so inclined. |

Subject: RE: BS: ring bells noon sunday child abuse vict. From: Musket Date: 30 May 15 - 04:38 AM It is. Most church bells in The UK ring before and sometimes after a service on a Sunday though and as it is the traditional call to prayer, ringers have an agreement with their church not to ring for other reasons on a Sunday too close to service times. I'm neither a bell ringer nor superstitious but I like this idea, although come noon, Mrs Musket and the other ringers (other than one couple who go to church) are in the pub next door with yours truly in our heck of the woods. |

The UK Scouts offered a "merit badge" ...and it was not simple nor easy. www.bbc.co.uk/devon/content/articles/2007/08/01/bell_ringing_feature.shtml Sincerely, Gargoyle WOW...I am missing something ... but it appears there is not a single MC thread about helping. |
