Subject: Obit: Michael Ned Quinn From: GUEST,Liberty Boy (sans cookie) Date: 31 May 15 - 07:15 AM So sorry to have to give the news that the great Michael Ned Quinn of Mullaghbawn passed away this morning. Funeral arrangements to come later. |
Subject: RE: Obit: Michael Ned Quinn From: GUEST,Fred McCormick Date: 31 May 15 - 07:49 AM Oh God no! One of the loveliest blokes I ever met, and one of the funniest, and one of the best singers. I know he reached the big eight-o several years ago, and from what I can gather, was in pretty poor health. So it should be no surprise. But even so, he's left a big hole in a lot of people's lives and he will be very sorely missed. Jerry, do please make sure you post the funeral details as soon as you can. And please pass on my condolences to everyone you meet. |
Subject: RE: Obit: Michael Ned Quinn From: GUEST,Martin Ryan with a windswept cookie Date: 31 May 15 - 07:56 AM Micil Ned was, amongst many other things, that rare exception - a storyteller whose stories retained their freshness well past other people's sell-by-date! may the sod rest gently on his gentlemanly head... Regards |
Subject: RE: Obit: Michael Ned Quinn From: GUEST,John Moulden Date: 31 May 15 - 03:50 PM A wonderful man; apart from his talents as a storyteller and singer, he had the gift of making people feel important. He will be missed because of his sense of fun, his lively art, his friendliness and for his grace. We were, for a while graced by his presence, and are poorer now that he is gone, but we have the memories he has blessed us with. Rest in peace, Mick. I wish his family every sympathy. |
