As for Jello, keep in mind that a wall might contain it in the wintertime but in the summer there it would be, seeping under, over, through and around the cracks and crevices. Dan, you're a nice guy and I see where you're coming from, many people are nice enough in a social setting....I suppose there are those who think President Bush a nice man to speak to and have a laugh with, same could be said of Tony Blair(well maybe not TB)but you get my meaning.

The problem is that Mrs Clinton made some exceptionally bad decisions in Office, the worst being the push to turn US firepower on the recognised government of Libya, with disastrous results.
She compounded that by joking about the horrific death of Col Gaddafi, a serious flaw in someone who aspires to statesmanship.

There were other serious mistakes which have been detailed above, all in all her CV is questionable.
It could also be argued that Team Clinton used their position, foolishly offered by President Obama, to undermine him and pave the way for a tilt at the presidency by a Hawkish Hillary.

Politics is a rather grubby game and really nice people within it are as scarce as hens teeth.

Some may think that my opinions on this subject are invalid due to the fact that I am Scottish, not American, but our countries and their foreign policies are bound together through NATO.... and who is in charge of the Yankee Button is of great importance to us.

GfS, I take no pleasure in it at all. We had a near-miss with Harper, a Conservative POS who 'led' this country close to a very restricted form of democracy more in tune with most dictatorships than anything we'd recognize as freedom. I would wish that on neither friend nor foe. The Conservative stranglehold on people has got to be broken, and that means breaking the Conservatives whether they be in Canada, US or the UK. Trump simply shows that the lunatic fringe is alive and well in the US as it is elsewhere. But look at his numbers. He's receiving 33% approval ratings from registered Republicans. Put another way, look at it like this. Approximately 45% of the US usually votes Republican. Thirty-three percent of 45% is 15% of all Americans. So Trump is little more than a piece of snot hanging from the face of what was once a great country. You want your country back again, concentrate on getting Democrats elected. I'd prefer that you concentrate on getting Bernie Sanders elected, but Clinton would be substantially better than any Republican, so even if you lose you win.

Here was my small contribution to helping rid my country of the disease of Conservatism. Hope you enjoy it. (My voice wasn't as good as I'd like it to have been because I'd recently had some major surgery and was still trying to recover. Not an excuse--just an explanation.)

Much of Canadas social safety net is paid for by Canadian Tax Payers from what I recall. A Goods and services tax is levied on most items and this contributes to medical care.
It is not other peoples money, it is money earned by selling commodities, it isn,t a charity.
If 34 million Canadians can fund health care for all citizens, perhaps America ought to think of a way for 400 million people to do the same.

Many Canadians go to Mexico for dental care which is not part of the medic care programme in Canada.. dental care is, if you can afford it, very good in Mexico. almost half the out of country Medicare outside of Canada is for procedures not covered by the national plan... Cosmetic surgery and dental surgery among them!
