Subject: RE: BS: I love winter because.... From: Steve Shaw Date: 29 Feb 16 - 07:24 PM If you'd spent this winter in Cornwall you wouldn't be saying you loved winter. No cold crisp weather to kill off the bugs. Sunless. Pissing down for three months with hardly a dry day. Wind, rain, murk, drizzle. Unable to walk on my garden since October because the soil is like porridge. Roll on spring. |

Subject: RE: BS: I love winter because.... From: ChanteyLass Date: 29 Feb 16 - 09:00 PM I love winter because it's finite! I love all the seasons and wouldn't care to live in a place without distinct seasons. |
Subject: RE: BS: I love winter because.... From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 29 Feb 16 - 09:03 PM I live in Florida, but not in the part where it never freezes. I love winter because it's a lot like my grandchildren: they both pay an occasional visit, they're both interesting to be around for a day or two, then they both go away and are somebody else's problem. |

Subject: RE: BS: I love winter because.... From: keberoxu Date: 14 Jan 17 - 01:30 PM You can see through the bare trees, and admire the clear blue sky, that is on days when the sky IS clear and blue. And you can peek through and find out what the trees have been hiding behind their amassed foliage for the rest of the year. |
