Subject: BS: Seeking Eyeliner/Mascara Company From: GUEST,Sandy Date: 21 Mar 16 - 09:18 PM I have eyeliner and mascara tubes that has no company or manufacturing company on the outside of the tube. There was no other packaging that they came in - just the tube itself. I went back to the store where I had bought them which is a discount type store (in California) to see if they could still get this item because they have not carried them for several months now. They used to carry this particular eyeliner & mascara for a long time but I was told the person that brings their merchandise to the store (which carries clothes, make-up, toiletries, electronics, hardware and all kinds of stuff) cannot get this particular make-up anymore. So that doesn't necessarily mean that it is not being made - just the person who brings their merchandise to the store cannot get this particular item anymore. So I am trying to see if I can find the company and contact them myself but the store does not know the company who makes it and it is not on the outside of the tube. But here is the unusual design. The eyeliner is in a silver tube with what looks like 4 little paw prints on the outside of tube. The other half of the tube is see-through where you can see the little brush - all enclosed inside the one tube. All it says on the outside is the word Eyeliner Water Proof but no company name at all. I went to Google and tried typing in "Eyeliner with paw prints on the outside of tube" or just "Eyeliner with paw prints" - but no luck. Perhaps someone else can think of a different way to search for it. I find a lot of eyeliner hits but nothing that seems to be the one I am looking for. I have looked around at other stores in my area but actually had never seen it anywhere else before. I happen to really like this particular eyeliner and hope to find it somewhere or call the company if I could find the company/manufacturer's name. |

You want to talk with the salesperson who delivered/provided the product. S/he will at least know who the supplier is/was. |
Subject: RE: BS: Seeking Eyeliner/Mascara Company From: GUEST Date: 22 Mar 16 - 08:47 AM Try "no name eyeliner" - there's a good chance the product is from China and is manufactured for other brands but put out to discount stores unnamed because of that. |

They have other eyeliners and mascara's at this store (different from the ones I am looking for) that are unknown brand names that are from China. I don't like them as well as the ones I am looking for though with cat paws on the outside of the tube. The owners of the store are Chinese I believe. Seems like only these discount stores carry many of these "unknown brands." I will try looking up "no name eyeliner" Thanks! |
Subject: RE: BS: Seeking Eyeliner/Mascara Company From: ClaireBear Date: 23 Mar 16 - 03:38 PM I found a company called Paul & Joe Beaute that, back in 2012, imprinted cat pawprints on some of its lipsticks (not the case but the product itself). (You can see an example here). I don't see any obvious sign that the eyeliner was ever so decorated, but I think the lipstick makes Paul & Joe a fairly likely suspect. There are two decorative motifs running through its product lines: cats and flowers. Right now they seem to be leaning towards flowers, but there are still plenty of cat references. Take a look at the company website and see what you think. |

Paul & Joe seems to be big in Japan and is also sold in Hong Kong...and, yes, in California. |
