Subject: August Press Room (NH) Shanty Sing From: Bat Goddess Date: 14 Aug 16 - 02:17 PM The August Third Saturday of the Month Press Room Shanty, Forebitter, and Foc's'l Ballad Singaround will be happening THIS SATURDAY, August 20th from 3:30 to 7:30 PM, downstairs at 77 Daniel Street, Portsmouth, NH, USA. It's summer...some regulars are off doing summer things...festivals, vacations, outdoor gigs...but new people arrive and the stalwarts wart their stals -- usually loudly and with a lot of humor. We ALWAYS have a great time whether it's mere dozen of us or the place is packed (which is more likely in the cooler months). Come help us raise the rafters (which seem to need raising at least once a month) with song. See you there! Linn |

Number 39 is "The Chanteyman," not to be confused with "The Shantyman" also based on a poem by Cicely Fox Smith. :-) Charlie Ipcar |
