Hey Keb if you think the reaction to the horror story was harsh you should have seen the reaction to my idea of using mudcat to create a screenplay using people's actual posts. The rejection, bile and punishment required a 7 year hiatus. The fickle meanness is an actual group psychological Phenom. Mudcat was more of a blood sport back then that drove away some people who are now remembered with fondness.

I post a lot of ideas before their time that cause trouble. Don't take the groupthink, rumor or critics to heart.

Hope old dudes OK.

Hell, it sounds like a fun idea to me. Can't imagine why anyone would snark about it!

People started claiming copyright infringement and personal objection.
Today however bringing to life some of the relationships and comedy is already half done.

Creating a visually stunning and evolving audio visual experience came to me in a matter of minutes. The balance of laughter, music, tears, loss and triumph is what would elevate the film from cult status to a legendary work of art.

As usual, its all in the writing and editing. I am a sucker for the Hollywood tear jerking moments floating in a sea of love and hilarity.

Dan was here recently, so I think he's fine (the remembering spaw thread). He keeps busy with fish and other things. ;)

Salmon oh salmon, there are no salmon left in alaska, my daughter and I caught them all. Right out of the gate my tiny daughter nailed a 35 lb king. But the reds, sockeye were amazing. One after the other.
Now it's just trying for a big brown Trout in lake Erie. Normally this time of year they come in but it has been so hot it may be a later run.
When I was in alaska, there was a bald eagle next to me. One guy said watch out, that guy steals your fish when you are not looking. Apparently you land a fish, go on fishing and he flies off with it.

Bald eagles. I have little good to say about them. I do enjoy watching them while they are fishing and they are a majestic looking bird but I certainly do not enjoy them bullying other birds. My dislike of them came upon me one day when I watched one try to raid a raven nest. Bastard lost a few tail feathers that day... ravens stick together. It was awesome to watch them come from "away", kick his ass, celebrate, and go back to "away". Rather neighbourly, IMO.

Olddude, this is the same daughter who just married? And whose wedding went viral? Fishing for king salmon!

I remember from somewhere that Native Americans say "fish eagle" for what we call the bald eagle.

The last time I went fishing I caught a cutthroat that wasn't very big, but the water levels in the Snake and Columbia Rivers dropped six feet when I took it out of the water. Being a true environmentalist I of course did catch and release; when I careful slipped that fish (a Yellowstone cutthroat, an endangered species) back in the water levels returned to normal.

However, the sudden drop grounded quite a few boats up around Portland and Astoria. With the lower water level in the rivers the Pacific came rushing in to fill the void which caused the collapse of several dams and bridges, to say nothing of the damage to towns and cities. Then after I put the fish back in the rivers ran the other way and I caused a tsunami that wiped out several Pacific islands and Thai and Indonesian villages. Fortunately, no one was hurt and all ended well.
