Prior to our marriage I had spent 4 years in the U S Navy and three of these years aboard the USS Enterprise CV6 in the South Pacific the most decorated ship in WW2 and when I got discharged and saw this beautiful Lady I was hooked for life and we still love each other

Congratulations! Mrs Steve and I have been manacled together (with apologies to Basil Fawlty for stealing his expression) for a mere 40 years come December. A year or two ago there was a couple in the Westcountry who made it even beyond 70 years, and when the old chap was asked what his secret was, he said that it was just two little words: "Yes, dear." 😂

Platinum anniversary...there's a tiny touch of platinum in your car's catalytic converter. Probably means that to celebrate you have to replace that part.
