Subject: BS: Ate my frog part ii From: olddude Date: 22 Sep 16 - 03:39 PM There he was, froggy, sitting motionless, staring deep in his froggy thoughts. Sitting on the side of my genuine plastic fountain. I was watching him contemplate the meaning of life in his froggy yoga stance. Suddenly, my weiner dog Obie won cannoli spotted him. Mr frog jumped into the yard not the pool. Sausage dog got him... Sniff sniff tears |

Subject: RE: BS: Ate my frog part ii From: Mrrzy Date: 22 Sep 16 - 05:17 PM Ooh, when we first moved to Abidjan we lived in Marcory, a lowland area backing up on the lagoon, and if our dachshunds caught the frogs there they'd erupt with thick, white foam about the mouth - we children loved it and it terrified the adults - the dogs, meanwhile, didn't seem to mind, and did seem to enjoy freaking people out for our benefit, I might add. When we moved to higher ground in Cocody, we didn't have that particular fun form of domestic interaction with the wildlife... |
Subject: RE: BS: Ate my frog part ii From: keberoxu Date: 22 Sep 16 - 05:20 PM This is the dog that came into your life at your daughter's wedding? Well, as long as he keeps the raccoons away. Didn't the coons go after your frog AND your fish once? This is great....Donuel asks Olddude for a fish story, and we get a welcome-home-wiener-dog story. Ribbit. |
Subject: RE: BS: Ate my frog part ii From: gnu Date: 22 Sep 16 - 05:39 PM Well, Dan, you can always give froggy a proper burial tomorrow. |
Subject: RE: BS: Ate my frog part ii From: keberoxu Date: 22 Sep 16 - 07:42 PM Ah, but don't forget that wiener dogs are dachshunds, and dachshunds are in the Terrier category. That's Terrier for Terra not terror. No, not terror dogs, but earth dogs. They DIG. Bury the froggy, and your wiener dog might dig it right back up, is what I'm saying.... |

Subject: RE: BS: Ate my frog part ii From: Senoufou Date: 23 Sep 16 - 04:11 AM Mrrzy, I bet the adults thought the dogs had rabies! Cocody is beautiful. We'd like to buy a house there and move my in-laws across from Adjame. There would be a spare room for us, kept for our visits. My husband has never mentioned frogs; I must ask him if they get many in Adjame Nord. |
Subject: RE: BS: Ate my frog part ii From: Mrrzy Date: 23 Sep 16 - 11:07 AM Senoufou, they shore did! And Danga-Nord was the particular area of Cocody, FYI. Off Rue des jasmins. |
