There is such a thing as the Canadian Folk Music Awards but ironically no Folk Music Awards...Until now.
Obtaining a google searchable domain site was easy

The first announcement will be original songwriters submissions.
Filling in the items of interest and links to the numerous folk sites will is underway.

I was astonished that FMA is available as Folk Music Awards free and clear.

Planting an acorn like this should give veterans and beginners alike the honorable feathers in their cap they deserve by way of observed recognition without cost.

Well I know some people think these Awards are bullshit - but still I think this should be in the music section....

"Planting an acorn like this should give veterans and beginners alike the honorable feathers in their cap they deserve"

No finer mixed metaphor has ever been constructed IMO.
