Subject: BS: do you rec'nize song of this bird? From: leeneia Date: 02 Apr 17 - 10:54 PM My nephew filmed this bird in a garden in Italy. I think it's either an unusually musical starling or a blackbird. It's finally visible towards the end of the little video. Can any Mudcatters tell from its song? dark bird |

But it cannot make links that long and it's truncated. Try shortening it with TinyURL first. Or if you use Firefox or Chrome use my Browser Tools which has no limit to the length of the link. |

Subject: RE: BS: do you rec'nize song of this bird? From: leeneia Date: 03 Apr 17 - 10:18 PM Thanks for all the info. The mystery is solved. The DH enlarged a photograph of it, and it has the distinctive light eye ring of the blackbird. I once had a starling in my urban yard that was imitating the sound a meadowlark, a bird of farms and fields. It gave me the oddest, disoriented feeling to hear that sound in the wrong environment. |
