Hey how is the fly fishing there, I always thought about that river by the church.. Saw lots of pictures but never been to Durham.. How much does a license cost and when is the best time to toss a fly

That church by the river is Durham Cathedral one of the finest historic buildings in Europe. Sod the fishing spend a day or two there.

Dunno, Dan, but down by the cathedral is pretty urban so I suspect you may be better getting out into the sticks. If you visit we are not that far away and there is plenty of fishing in the Yorkshire Dales. I am no fisherman myself but I see plenty on my rambles!

Cheers

Dave

Just remembered, Dan. Did I send you a Marie Little CD? If so - she lives up that way. See if you can get to see her live. I don't know if she fishes though :-)
