Never thought about this one so I just googled it and was surprised to find - not many
On the actual year there were only two worth a mention - me and Riccardo Muti, Napoli Italy, conductor (Philadelphia Orch) !!

I saw a young Riccardo Muti conduct in the very first classical concert I ever went to. It was at the Royal Festival Hall some time in the mid-70s. The items were The Fairy's Kiss by Stravinsky, Four Last Songs by Richard Strauss and, the real reason for my going, Beethoven's seventh symphony.

My nephew shares my birthday. Every Christmas I get a calendar made for my mum with everyone's birthdays printed on the appropriate days. I've had to relegate myself to the day after as only one entry per day is permitted. It's not fair - I was here first!

My nephew shares my birthday.

That is a strange coincidence, Steve. Not only from the same neck of the woods and have similar outlooks on many things but one of my nephews was born on my birthday too! Many shared things in our family - Our second eldest was born on my wife's birthday and our third was born on our wedding anniversary.

Only rabbiting on about this because I cannot find anyone famous sharing my exact birthday but it is the same day that Disney's 'Peter Pan' opened. Maybe that is why I can never grow up

It may do but it has to work out the connections, and make sense.
Algorithms don't make sense they make correlations.

In the UK we get "Ted Radio Hour" probably weeks/months it is broadcast on NPR.

The most recent one was on the subject of Data and the comment was that algorithms are handling data and making complex correlations that no human can ever encompass in one brain. But those correlations cannot be checked independently.

Which is fine if it means we are bombarded with adverts for stuff (& nonsense). But politicians are spouting as if it is true, and governments are forging policies on the back of it.

We can't spot the one(s) that miss crucial context. And there is plenty of talk of algorithm bias, because it takes data collected by humans, who couldn't possibly be biased!

I delight in giving the systems false leads. Goggle has me down as an anarchist obviously.
