Subject: RE: BS: National Politics Now Multinational ? From: Steve Shaw Date: 13 Aug 18 - 07:03 AM Jim could have added the interference by the Pope (a head of state) in the internal politics of Argentina (the senate vote on the abortion bill). |
Subject: RE: BS: National Politics Now Multinational ? From: Kenny B (inactive) Date: 13 Aug 18 - 07:15 AM Jim your Israeli link says nothing The whole issue comes down to what I call BIG MONEY. When any politition/correspondant comes out backing something I ask myself who is doing the bankrolling. All national governments are driven by lobbysists. Blaming any national group of politicos is a cop out. Sadly whoever pays the piper calls the lyrics & tunes whether it be traditional contemporary or revisionist. It is very difficult to identify who is pulling the strings when they hide behind governments. Its like in a marriage BM(The tradional Breadwinner) covers the international affairs and the partner covers the domestic affairs. That my conspiracy theory Can you now give us yours and the reasons for yours |

Subject: RE: BS: National Politics Now Multinational ? From: Jim Carroll Date: 13 Aug 18 - 07:25 AM "Jim your Israeli link says nothing " These are direct links to actual political interference - in Israel's case, an attempt to stop BDS, in Russia, a successful campaign to have a right-wing Government elected, or a satisfactory outcome for their economic interests Big business is behind all politics - sure - but the people we heve to deal with are their political mouthpieces at home Jim Carroll |
Subject: RE: BS: National Politics Now Multinational ? From: Steve Shaw Date: 13 Aug 18 - 07:32 AM It isn't exactly conspiracy theory to conclude that the Netanyahu regime has been doing its damnedest to bolster the campaign against Jeremy Corbyn, as anti-racist a man as you could wish of any politician, apropos of the antisemitism nonsense. He's seen as siding with the Palestinians. Personally, I wish he was far more forthright about that. |
Subject: RE: BS: National Politics Now Multinational ? From: Donuel Date: 14 Aug 18 - 07:48 AM Personal information has become a kind of limitless natural deposit formed in the digital ether by ordinary people as they browsed used apps and message friends. Facebook and Google are the emerging duopoly that today controls more than half th if the global market in online advertising and opinion formation content, The Tech industry didn't want to give up their powers of surrvirlence, it wanted to entrench them. Ergo National politics is multinational intriguer. Cambridge Analytica is but the tip of the iceberg. |
Subject: RE: BS: National Politics Now Multinational ? From: punkfolkrocker Date: 14 Aug 18 - 09:47 AM Conspiracy theories... It isn't that far fetched to suspect Israel is fighting a proxy war with muslims on British soil, and couldn't give a shit about the collateral damage and adverse consequences that will be caused in the cross fire to all the ordinary less well off citizens our labour party wsa founded to protect from tory governments... If you look at mainstream media, it seems the only issues worthy of attention are brexit, muslims, and jews... Very little, hardly eff all, about the important health/work/welfare/etc concerns that actually really matter to ordinary British families... Those Jewish Labour members who are actively causing deliberate destabilising disruption intentionally to undermine and replace Corbyn [with who...???], should be ashamed and question if they actually belong in the Labour movement, and not the tories who they are most helping... They have lost sight of the fundamental priorities of why the Labour party exists, and the actual intended section of our society they are meant to serve and protect... My mum is 86, half Jewish, voted Labour all her life since joining as a member of the Labour League of Youth, and is appalled at the problems some her father's people are now causing in the Labour party... |
