Subject: RE: It would be easier to join MI6 than joining Mudcat From: Little Hawk Date: 04 Dec 18 - 12:34 PM Shane McBride has been drinking heavily ever since he was blocked from further "guest" posting in Mudcat, and it's all YOUR fault, you bastards! (Come to think of it, though, he was drinking heavily before that happened too...) Well...never mind. :) |
Subject: RE: It would be easier to join MI6 than joining Mudcat From: David Carter (UK) Date: 04 Dec 18 - 12:19 PM Thing though, is you can leave Mudcat. People who go rogue in MI6 mysteriously manage to padlock themselves in their own holdall. |

Subject: RE: It would be easier to join MI6 than joining Mudcat From: keberoxu Date: 03 Dec 18 - 01:32 PM a Hotmail address if memory serves -- no, I didn't copy it down or anything like that, I just remember looking long and hard at the e-mail address before it was erased from the original post. Why not accept the opening post at face value? |
Subject: RE: It would be easier to join MI6 than joining Mudcat From: Jeri Date: 02 Dec 18 - 06:51 PM If you read Joe's brown writing in the initial post ("E-mail address erased from this message after I sent email") he DID email him. |
Subject: RE: It would be easier to join MI6 than joining Mudcat From: Gallus Moll Date: 02 Dec 18 - 06:36 PM Michael Donnelly seems to live in Derry city? Not sure where Jim Dixon is, or any other Mudcatters on the island of Ireland (Ireland and N Ireland) but perhaps one of them might manage to contact Michael via some other folk network and invite him to try again, read Joe's invitation to email him? It would be such a shame if Michael has just given up altogether!(and not read all the MI6 type postings!!) C'mon all you budding spies and agents-- you must be able to find a way of seeking out this potential 'catter!!! |

Subject: RE: It would be easier to join MI6 than joining Mudcat From: The Sandman Date: 30 Nov 18 - 03:34 PM Ithere a motorway called the m16 The M16 motorway was the designation planned in the late 1960s and early 1970s for use on Ringway 3, a new motorway planned as part of the London Ringways Plan to run a circular route around London.[1] Construction of the first section of the M16 began in 1973 between South Mimms and Potters Bar in Hertfordshire and opened in September 1975 with the temporary general purpose road designation A1178. During construction of the first section of the motorway, the majority of the Ringways plan was cancelled and, in 1975 the plans for Ringway 3 were modified to combine it with parts of another motorway, Ringway 4, the outermost Ringway.[1] The M16 designation was dropped and the combined motorway was given the designation M25 which had originally been intended for the southern and western part of Ringway 4.The section of Ringway 3 west of South Mimms anti-clockwise around London to Swanley in Kent was cancelled and the section clockwise from Potters Bar to the Dartford Tunnel was constructed between 1979 and 1982. The section of Ringway 3 south of the river between Dartford and Swanley was constructed between 1974 and 1977. The South Mimms junction was originally intended to be the end of a short spur connecting the A1 to the M16. The main alignment of the M16 would have continued south-west of the junction towards Radlett and Bushey. Evidence of this unbuilt alignment remains in the wide gap between the carriageways to the east of the South Mimms junction which would have been the point at which the spur would have separated from the continuing carriageway. |

Subject: RE: It would be easier to join MI6 than joining Mudcat From: Bonnie Shaljean Date: 30 Nov 18 - 11:46 AM Let's leave this thread in place. I love some of the comments. Anyway, spambots don't usually give their email addresses. Why not allow Michael the benefit of the doubt and hope he comes back to introduce himself? Maybe we scared him off! His email makes me think northern Ireland - initials + Derry at hotmail. Plausible enough to me. Michael, ya still there? Hello from the opposite coast (Cork). |
Subject: RE: It would be easier to join MI6 than joining Mudcat From: leeneia Date: 30 Nov 18 - 11:32 AM He sounds British because of the reference to M16. His post came at 6:52 PM Mudcat time, which means he was typing at 11:52 at night his time. Maybe he was just too tired. Or something. |

Subject: RE: It would be easier to join MI6 than joining Mudcat From: Jeri Date: 29 Nov 18 - 05:44 PM When I saw this, I wondered if it was one of those test messages spambots send, and the lack of reply or action by the guy makes me think it was. It's pretty obvious how to join. Probably the post, if not the whole thread, should be deleted. |
