Subject: BS: That Wall: a solution From: Roger the Skiffler Date: 28 Jan 19 - 06:35 AM My identical cousin Thimbles O'Hooligan writes on Facebook: I've had a brainwave that'll help that nice Mr Trump build his wall. Taxpayers don't want to pay for it, Mexicans won't pay for it. Trump supporters want it, so why doesn't he start a fund, put in, say, $5 million of his own money to build the first mile, get his billionaire friends to sponsor a mile each. his poorer supporters could club together and pay for a few feet, get their names on it. Then see how far it gets. When we contributed to a theatre project some years ago we could have our name on a brick, larger donations got you a named seat and so on right up to naming an auditorium. Surely his supporters would rush... RtS |
Subject: RE: BS: That Wall: a solution From: DMcG Date: 28 Jan 19 - 08:40 AM Surely at lot of people, especially Southerners, would want the brick to be near them? I imagine he could get the whole length filled to one or two bricks high. |

Subject: RE: BS: That Wall: a solution From: Mossback Date: 28 Jan 19 - 10:53 AM Too late, Roger- its been done: 9 Jan 2019 A GoFundMe page to raise money for President Donald Trump’s proposed border wall, created on Dec. 16, has raked in over $19.7 million in just over three weeks with an ultimate goal of $1 billion, https://www.marketwatch.com/story/does-crowdfunding-skew-liberal-march-for-our-lives-and-times-up-among-top-5-fundraisers-in-2018-2018-12-07 |
Subject: RE: BS: That Wall: a solution From: Donuel Date: 28 Jan 19 - 11:06 AM Imminent domain seizure of private land has been used for private projects but it is dirty business. As a rule the more severe/murderous the wall the more incredible the tunnel. kinetic walls are expensive toxic walls are indescriminent great walls of China were mainly defeated by bribing guards military razor wire injures our soldiers more than immigrants. |
Subject: RE: BS: That Wall: a solution From: Stilly River Sage Date: 28 Jan 19 - 11:25 AM DMcG, to the contrary - people who live near the border don't want a wall. It's people distant from the area who *think* a wall is needed to protect them from people who can actually get here through so many routes that a wall is, seriously, only a way to affect wildlife and block the view. The one-or-two brick wall you mention would be a tripping hazard. :-) |
Subject: RE: BS: That Wall: a solution From: DMcG Date: 28 Jan 19 - 12:01 PM So more than half the money will have to be spent on those plastic 'trip hazard' signs? |
Subject: RE: BS: That Wall: a solution From: Stilly River Sage Date: 28 Jan 19 - 12:16 PM Exactly. In English, Spanish, and various Mexican and Central American indigenous languages. |
Subject: RE: BS: That Wall: a solution From: Donuel Date: 28 Jan 19 - 12:43 PM The shutdown cost over 11 billion dollars. I don't know how much it will cost for new Trump rally signs that say 'Promises made-Promises wept'. Trumps agenda is 'bordering' on a Final Solution for brown people. Take their kids, create an impossible backlog, increase suffering and hatred. |
Subject: RE: BS: That Wall: a solution From: punkfolkrocker Date: 28 Jan 19 - 01:18 PM So looks like he can't just dip in his own pocket to pay for his fanciful folly... seems he aint as rich as we thought he was... Subject: RE: BS: That Wall: a solution From: Iains Date: 28 Jan 19 - 02:06 PM Cannot fund a wall for your own border. Yet............ https://www.breitbart.com/immigration/2018/03/22/gop-democrats-fully-fund-border-wall-jordanians/ nowt so strange as folks! |
Subject: RE: BS: That Wall: a solution From: Stilly River Sage Date: 28 Jan 19 - 02:36 PM Breitbart. That name alone is enough to discount any information they distort and shove out to their followers. That Forbes list shows such things as the Washington, D.C. hotel, but he doesn't own that. The General Services Administration owns and leases it to Trump. So the business IN the hotel may be his, but the building isn't. His corruption is illustrated in that list of holdings. How he uses them is Constitutionally illegal. At some point someone may call him out officially. Emoluments again. |

Subject: RE: BS: That Wall: a solution From: Rapparee Date: 28 Jan 19 - 08:58 PM Brian Kolfage is/was the person behind a Gofundme account to "build the wall." You'll have to look this up yourself. |
Subject: RE: BS: That Wall: a solution From: SamStone Date: 28 Jan 19 - 10:22 PM sell "trumpster" wall bonds($1,000,000.00)each for a 50 foot or taller bee-you-ti-ful wall with big flashing signs and gates and guards and bells and whistles...then go bankrupt and screw everybody out their money... |
Subject: RE: BS: That Wall: a solution From: Roger the Skiffler Date: 29 Jan 19 - 04:14 AM Mossback: it just shows (as someone said when Kissinger got the Nobel Peace Prize) satire is dead, real life is stranger! RtS |
