Subject: radio Prog on Scottish song From: Mr Red Date: 27 Feb 19 - 02:29 AM Julie Fowlis' Heritage Well It's next showing on BBC Radio 4 Extra Today, 1:30pm and on Radio 4 Extra February 28th at 1:30am She regularly referred to a Gaelic archive website which is proving difficult for this anglophone to track down. However Edinburgh Uni seems to get close. tobarandualchais.co.uk/ might be the one referred to in the prog. |
Subject: RE: radio Prog on Scottish song From: Anne Neilson Date: 27 Feb 19 - 03:01 AM If the archive is as you describe above, you can also access it by entering Kist o Riches -- the material is song (both Scots and Gaelic), stories and folk tales, interviews etc., and comes from several sources such as The School of Scottish Studies in Edinburgh University. You can search by geographical area, by song title, by contributor. |

Subject: RE: radio Prog on Scottish song From: FreddyHeadey Date: 27 Feb 19 - 04:15 PM Thanks. An interesting programme. I'm sure you are correct with the tobarandualchais link - Tobar an Dualchais / Well Of Heritage / Kist o Riches. btw , at the moment I can find http://mister.red/Faq/FAQIrish.htm but not a 'FAQscots'. (it goes to a 'sedoparking' page ...?) (http://mister.red/Faq/) |
