Mrs G has had quite a major op today. The op went well but she is understandably sore and sleepy. Her BP is quite low so they are going to give her IV fluids. She should be out of hospital in a few days but Will be in recovery for weeks.

I'm not one for any prayers or religion but I do believe in the power of nature to heal and mend. There is certainly no harm in anyone sending positive thoughts in the direction of Airedale :-)

All the best from me, Dave. I had a big op on my back in 2013 and it was a bit of a trauma at the time, but I've dined out very well on the funny stories I can now tell about it all (especially the one about the catheter...)

Thanks all. She is still very sore but in good spirits. Her BP is still a bit low but they are hoping to get her out soon. As you may have seen on another thread we are also having major surgery done to the kitchen! The messiest job, plastering, was done yesterday and our daughters are here helping me to clean that up before she comes home.

I think spiritual healing is very useful check out BRUNO GROELING, there is evidence that people have been cured by going to lourdes but it appears that people have to believe for it to work

Thanks, Dick. My Dad was a great Lourdes fan. Visited 2 or 3 times. Not particularly to cure anything, he was just very religious!

to work on the kitchen!

Because you KNOW she's coming home
and a resurrected kitchen
will make her happy. Love it.

Folks can pray, or send positive hippy vibes..
I believe laughter is a key remedy to good recovery..
unless too much bursts stitches, or causes hysteria and fainting...

Whenever I phone my mum, I make sure I leave her laughing at the end of each call..
Especially when she's not well, down in the dumps, and really needs extra effort cheering her up...

Bum and poo jokes are very effective with my old mum...
