Subject: RE: Martyn Wyndham-Read unwell From: Vic Smith Date: 14 Jan 20 - 05:47 AM Just posted by Danni Wyndham-Read on Facebook: - Hi Ho to You, Everyone and All. My grateful thanks goes out to each of you for your thoughtfulness and best wishes you sent to me during this illness and hospitalisation. Your thoughts, cards and messages were a bright light shining through a dark time. I know that this sounds a bit dramatic but you have all pulled me through it. Sending this out via the Face Book, I want you to know that each of you are in our thoughts. Danni, Lucy and Jess have all been fantastic at keeping an old crotchety man on the road to recovery, having a wife and two daughters with this love has pulled me through as have you. I now await the joy of being back to doing the washing up, hoovering, scrubbing, polishing, window cleaning, bed making and cooking. So watch this space, but not for long. We wish you all a very happy peaceful New Year, what’s left of it. My heartfelt thanks goes out to you each and all. Take care and safe travels to you alls. Love Martyn and Family |

Subject: Martyn Wyndham-Read unwell From: Vic Smith Date: 07 Jan 20 - 04:25 PM This message from Martyn's wife Danni Martyn has not been well, but is on the mend. We took him into Guildford Hospital on the 27th of December as he was in extreme pain due to his sciatica. He was kept in hospital as he needed an epidural. Sadly, he then ended up with ‘in hospital’ pneumonia to add to the challenge, so he was on drips for antibiotics and fluids, this was not enough. Completely out of the blue his gall bladder perforated which then meant that it had to be removed straightaway. The surgery has gone well and they are very pleased with the results. We hope to have him home soon. This was part of an e-mail from our dear friend Eric Bogle, this made Martyn and I laugh. ‘Mind you, as he has had the unmitigated gall to present himself as a singer and entertainer over the past 50 years or so, I’m not surprised that his gall bladder has finally called it quits….and I always thought Martyn didn’t need drugs to have hallucinations’ Love to you all, Danni xx |
