Subject: Cheryl Wheeler - 'Further and Further Aw
From: GUEST,Lin

There are two "Live" versions of Cheryl Wheeler singing her song,
"Further and Further Away" that she performed at two different concerts.
You can hear them both on Youtube.
There is also a non-concert version you can hear but with the lyrics shown through Amazon (which you have to sign up with Amazon to actually hear the song, so I don't want to do that.

So...what I am hoping to find with the help of a Mudcatter is for someone who has this CD,to please upload this song onto Youtube so I can hear it from the CD, instead of a concert version.

Then if you are tech. savvy, if you could somehow incorporate the lyrics written out, while the song is playing. I have no idea how that is done.

I already know you can easily find the lyrics on Youtube and other music sites, but what I am hoping is to see the lyrics at the same time that the song is being played.
Once again, I am NOT looking for the "live in concert video" of this song.

If you can do this, upload it on Youtube, it would be greatly, greatly appreciated.
Only looking for Cheryl Wheeler singing the song, not cover versions.

Thank you in advance,
Lin

Hmmm. Well, here's a really awful karaoke version with lyrics:

And here is the studio recording of the song:
Now, if you right-click on the YouTube link and select "open in new window" and don't make that window too big, you should be able to play the YouTube while looking at the lyrics below. But no, I can't take the time to do a video with bouncing ball lyrics.

And here are the lyrics:

FURTHER AND FURTHER AWAY
(Cheryl Wheeler)

I can see the place where I came from
I can hear those sounds right now
I can find the paths I used to run
And believe I still know how

Then I shake my head, clearing my vision
I keep those scenes at bay
And I can see the place where I came from
Slipping further and further away

And I can feel the way I used to feel
When the world was small and green
And you sang a song of soft appeal
And I curled into my dream

Then I shake my head, clearing my vision
I keep those scenes at bay
And I can feel the way I used to feel
Slipping further and further away

Time keeps moving faster and faster
I'm not losing track
I'm afraid that something's forgotten
So I keep looking back

I can hear the songs you used to sing
I can swear I won't let go
You were strong and you knew everything
That was all I had to know

Then I shake my head, clearing my vision
I keep those scenes at bay
And I can hear the songs you used to sing
Slipping further and further away
