well, of course there is. i am planning to go there. i won't be going into any crowded bars etc. maybe i will listen from the street. i am vaccinated and masked and will be very careful not to contaminate anyone as i travel.

I was there in 2019. IIRC, there was a bar & grill across the street from City Hall that had posters up for bands. City Hall is tucked into a hillside, and there's only one side of it with a proper street, so the bar should not be hard to find.

We had lunch there twice, and the staff was friendly.

Well I had to cancel my trip. It was just getting more and more restrictive and I could see getting quarantined for 6 months or whatever and I got all my money back so I'll go later

Here are thoughts for the future: when in Ireland, I found the best place to ask about "traditional" was a hotel front desk. Another idea is the Tourist Information Office. These ideas might apply to Newfoundland.

In Ullapool, Scotland, we saw a poster in the front window of the Youth Hostel that gave us info about a festival in a nearby town. That was fun.
