IIRC, there was a bar & grill across the street from City Hall that had posters up for bands. City Hall is tucked into a hillside, and there's only one side of it with a proper street, so the bar should not be hard to find. We had lunch there twice, and the staff was friendly. |

However, if you do reschedule for a future date, here Is some information I looked up for you for folk music. The Ship Pup on Solomon's Cane (265 Duckworth) St. John's Newfoundland Folk night at the Ship Pup Folk music every Wednesday night 9 p.m. Call for information at 1-866-576-8508`or 709-576-8508 I have never been there but at least you can keep this information to refer to if you go there at a later date and phone numbers to call. |

Another idea is the Tourist Information Office. These ideas might apply to Newfoundland. In Ullapool, Scotland, we saw a poster in the front window of the Youth Hostel that gave us info about a festival in a nearby town. That was fun. |
