Subject: BBC interview - musician Nitin Sawhney From: punkfolkrocker Date: 30 Sep 21 - 11:43 PM OK.. I don't recall hearing our "F" word mentioned, but nevertheless... .. open minded folkies might find find this an intelligent interview regarding immigrant musicians connecting within British culture... https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0010602/hardtalk-nitin-sawhney-musician-and-composer Unfortunately the BBC "Reggae Fever: David Rodigan" documentary has already expired a few days ago.. Which would have been an interesting counterpoint.. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0brzpsb |

Subject: RE: BBC interview - musician Nitin Sawhney From: Felipa Date: 01 Oct 21 - 03:17 PM I saw the interview by chance (I wasn't familiar with the artist) and was impressed with Sawhney's depth of thought. We sometimes have discussions on Mudcat about what influence singing has on the social and political sphere. Sawhney believes it does play an important part. |
