I was listening to npr and learned there is an app to extend your singing range and timbre BUT WAIT There is more... you can be a soprano but sing and sound like Lou Rawls or Paul Robeson in real time. The visual effect of this is surreal. I don't know why a baritone would want to sound like Whitney Houston but it is now possible. The examples I heard were flawless

You already know about the visual deep fake videos but there is also a virtual fashion application that will create impossible fashions of fire or water and anything else imaginable. Beyond music and fashion there are sites that will graphically invent whatever you describe in text into stunning visual clarity. The unexpected results are amazing to hysterical.

Don't need artifical aid to do that. Contest this not, lest I sing Goliath of Gath at you, at pitch.

I would find it a hoot to sound like Tom Waits or Leonard Cohen.

”I would find it a hoot to sound like Tom Waits or Leonard Cohen.”

I’d slit my wrists if I sounded that bad.

Beat me to it, BW. I like those guys but one of each is enough.

Sorry Gilly, don’t like either - I can take Tom Waits in small doses, but not Cohen’s boring, droning dirges. IMHO, YMMV, of course.

Somebody send one of these to Rod Steward, *please*.

I'm partial to both as songwriters, the singing not so much. TEHO.

I bet Bob Dylan would break the app.
