Have you checked at Camsco and Mudcat? There are some Peggy Seeger recordings there....and also check at Elderly. Have you done a search at Amazon or CDNow by going thru the "Support the Mudcat" box at the top of the mainpage? Give it a try. Are you sure of the title?

My heart turns over when we get these threads with just the name of a singer, because I always think they must be dead. Which happily isn't the case this time.

You may mean Hedy West on Hedy West; vol 2, Vanguard. Does a fine job. It's called Vanguard II on the new CD series. Lovely song.

You may also want to compare this with "The Wedding Dress" as sung by Cindy Mangsen on her Songs of Experience, Compass Rose Music CD.

Peggy Seeger will be part of the faculty at Banjo Camp North in mid-May. I've been told, although I don't know it for a fact, that Mike Seeger will also be on the faculty.

If the opportunity arises, can someone tell her the Irish guy who recorded "Ten Young Women and One Young Man" says Hello? Coincidentally, I recently came across a gracious card she sent me at the time.
