Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Morgan The Pirate From: GUEST,CBJames Date: 21 Apr 00 - 10:26 PM Oh my ! what a great song! This s off the top of my head, but maybe it'll get the gang rolling. So long buddy Thank you for the ride Don't know how you --- --- --- to survive. Took your time to get adjusted and the feelings that got busted only one or two hard feelings left behind Oh Gawd - that's awful ! not even approximate. Amazing how memory can fail after thirty years. This was a very big favourite song and I do remember a sudden realization back then that Farina may have written the song about Bob Dylan!? Since I haven't smoked dope for twenty years, I am a bit sheepish about my lack of long term memory - but this possible connection of Farina's "Morgan" to Dylan was very real in 1972. Any thoughts?? jb |

And yes, CB - it was written about Dylan and Farina's falling out, as Dylan's Positivly 4th Street was...or so went the stories back in the mid -ish 60s. Thanks again, Malcolm. |
