Subject: A help request for Lloyd62-Fri.surgery From: katlaughing Date: 29 Jun 00 - 01:43 AM Dear Friends, One of our own is in need and has requested a healing thread. As Big Mick asked recently in a thread he posted about a friend in need, I would ask those of you who do not like this kind of thread or who are bothered by it in anyway, to please leave it to those of us who want to participate. Thank you for your restraint and understanding. With Lloyd's permission, I am posting this to ask you to please keep him in your thoughts, prayers, meditations, incantations, musicaltations, whatever your belief system or not, as he is having surgery this Friday, tomorrow, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester Minnesota, to remove a cancerous prostate. Please feel free to email him at Lloyd_opal@yahoo.com as he will have access after he gets back to the Guest House and is looking forward to keeping in touch with us all during this challenging period of change. Lloyd has been going through a lot of tests and has a family history of this kind of problem. In his own words: after existence testing it appears that the Cancer is isolated to the Prostate, during surgery areas around the Prostrate will be tested. Let me tell you, folks, his attitude about all of this is tremendously upbeat..he had me laughing my head off this morning, in a message telling me about a little song he made up about having his prostate out and peeing in a bag for ten days! Also, any of you who have read his postings of stories of the power of music and what he has witnessed with his own eyes, will understand the depth of faith he has. And, any of you who have heard him and his wife, Opal, play and sing for us in HearMe, know that they are "salt-of-the-earth" people; they just don't get any better... so...I give thanks for the complete and speedy recovery of our dear Lloyd and also thanks for his "scrapper" of a wife, Opal, whom I know has been of great strength for him throughout this and has persisted in getting answers and information....a very important ally to have for any person who is going through health challenges. Holding you in my thoughts and heart, Lloyd and Opal, all my love, kat |
