Hi All,

I am going out to Easton, CT, next week to visit with an old college buddy. He was talking about setting up a song session with some of his friends and I thought it would be a great chance to meet some of the 'catters face to face. Is there anyone up for a get together in that area next Thursday, July 20, 2000?

Thanks,

Naemanson

I'll be performing, at a place called "the Last Stop" or is it "the Next Stop", in Bethel CT, on July 23. Is that anywhere nearby? Com and cheer for me.

Naemanson, you might want to send Sandy and Caroline Paton a call or send a message. They are in Sharon, I think and have Folk Legacy Records. NOT someone to miss, if you get the chance to meet them.

Actually, Kat, I have met them a few times. The first time was at a concert at the Chocolate Church in Bath, Maine. I was working as a volunteer and helped lug in the crates of LP's that Caroline wanted to get sold off. We had a very nice time and I agree that they are special and shouldn't be missed. The second time was at the Mystic Sea Music Festival where I was, once again, working as a volunteer. (is there a pattern here?)

I believe they are probably too busy for something like this but I will send them a message and let them tell me that. Thanks for the suggestion.

Easy Rider - I don't know how close Bethel is but I will be gone from the area by the 23rd. I have a coffeehouse of my own to run on the 22nd at the aforementioned Chocolate Church. If you are ever heading up to Maine drop me a line and I'll let you know what's happening in the area. Have a good show!

Kewl! Also, like I said, Dulcimer Dan adn Kelticgrasshopper are over in Wetfield. If you go to the Quick Links, Resources, and Locator, you'll see more listed with state and county location. Sorry, I know I am repeating what I'd said in HearMe...Chocolate Church coffeehouse? Sounds like the kind I would love!!

have fun,

kat

Yeah, it is a great place! A performer once asked us if we worshipped the God Iva.

Check out http://www.chocolatechurcharts.org/ for more info on the Chocolate Church. The coffeehouse is a small part of what they do there.

My partner, Tim, and I are going to be pitching our tent at Falcon Ridge folk festival in New York that night, or we might have been able to make it. Better luck next time.

I'm afraid Thursday, 20th, is out for us. Easton is a long way south of Sharon, and we will be spending that day getting things ready for our booth at the Falcon Ridge Festival. We'll have to miss this gathering, I'm afraid. I hope you have a great time, and please give our best to Marie when you get back to the Chocolate Church.

Sandy
