Subject: Warwick anyone From: Linda Kelly Date: 21 Jul 00 - 05:30 PM any mudcatters doing Warwick next weekend? can't be many festivals where there's a genuine medieval castle on your doorstep. have had to cancel Whitby Folk week due to unforseen circumstances and am therefore looking forward to Warwick even more. ForI.D. purposes - I shall be in a green tent and my husband has grey hair and a beard -should be very easy to spot! |

Subject: RE: BS: Warwick anyone From: MMario Date: 24 Jul 00 - 09:55 AM I'm at Warwick every weekend this summer, but on the wrong side of the pond!!! (and the wrong year....1588) This gave me a chuckle... |
Subject: RE: BS: Warwick anyone From: GUEST,John Hill Date: 24 Jul 00 - 11:37 AM Hi.. I'll be there too. I might be the only one without grey hair and a beard. We had a great time last year. Weather was wonderful ... fingers crossed for this year. |
Subject: RE: BS: Warwick anyone From: Geoff the Duck Date: 26 Jul 00 - 12:26 PM I would like to point out that despite the exploding Renault I am definitely NOT a Puddleduck. That was some other lunatic not me! Jemima, my little yellow companion is definitely a tankard BEER-DUCK!!!! Keep an eye out for us, we will be asking tented greybeards if they are "Mr Ickle". If I get my act together I might even be wearing badges asking "Are you Ickle?" or "If not - Why not???" - cos that's the sort of person I am! |
Subject: RE: BS: Warwick anyone From: GUEST Date: 27 Jul 01 - 12:53 PM Will there be beer and loose women? Will EJ and Cheydi get there before the pub shuts? Will they need Cheydi's special wire cutter shaped ticket? Are they likely to do something stupid involving petrol and matches? Will the real Jim Cheydi please stand up. Please stand up.

Subject: RE: BS: Warwick anyone From: Linda Kelly Date: 31 Jul 01 - 11:33 AM An excellent festival with some wonderful sngarounds and fantastic performances. Really enjoyed the Johnson Girls, and were very pleased to see Joy Maggie and Dierdre join us in the Bowling Green for some great singarounds. Wasn't it hot? The VW blew up on the way down but we made it back to base and set off in the car Les and Maggie in tow.Never let your head gasket keep you away from the music I say. |

Subject: RE: BS: Warwick anyone From: Mr Red Date: 31 Jul 01 - 03:29 PM Anyone not hear the Concert into the wee small hours of Sat / Sun? Kept me awake for a long time OK so there were compensations but that's not the point If I find it too loud to stay in the food area what's it doing inside the tent to everyone's delicate little hairs that get live in the cochlea that we call - HEARING? Or not eventually - ask a boilermaker - they go deaf when the hairs have lain flat from the VOLUME I know, I know it is falling on deaf ears .. that's because they have spent too long in............ whatever happened to folk music? |
