I'm looking for the lyrics to a song entitled "Another train". I heard it in a vocal-only version recorded by a band named Poozies or something like that. The chorus begins like this:
    There's another train
    There always is...
Do you know where it can be found? BTW, apparently from the same band I heard some other songs I liked. One was entitled something like "Le femme chaussee", another one is "Foggy Mountain Top". Any lyrics for these ones too?

Bill

Dear Bill,

THE POOZIES had a tour in Italy in summer 1994. I listened to them in the splendid frame of a court of an ancient and wonderful country villa near Parma, Italy (the city where I live).

The songs you are looking for are on a CD titled "CHANTOOZIES" released in 1993 by Hypertension Music, Germany. I own this CD so I'm copying some news for you from the booklet.

The Poozies are four women from Scotland: Karen Tweed, Sally Barker, Patsy Seddon and Mary MacMaster. Mary and Patsy come from Scottish traditional scene (formerly they were the harp duo named SILEAS - I have a CD). Sally had a rock/pop background. Karen (with Irish blood) just wants to sing and play piano.
The idea of forming a band took place in a pub in Ayrshire (Scotland) called Poosie Nancies which was favoured by Robert Burns in the XVIII century. The name of the band comes from that pub.

The songs on the album are:

We built fires/The mountaineers set/Les femmes chaussees/Willie's old trousers/Honesty/Foggy mountain top/Crazy raven/Waking up in wonderful wark/Dheanainn sugradh/Love on a farm boy’s wages/Another train

Luckily there are the written lyrics in the booklet, so I can copy ANOTHER TRAIN for you and for DT friends (although I have no problem in reading English, I'm in big trouble with SPOKEN English!)

I've not enough time to write all the lyrics of the CD. If you really are VERY interested in the missing lyrics (and you don't mind give away your address) please let me know. I'll send you a copy of the booklet.

Enjoy!

ANOTHER TRAIN

The beginning is now and always be
You say you've lost your chance that fate brought you defeat
But that means nothing you look so sad
You've been listening to those who say you've missed your chance

There's another train there always is
Maybe the next one is yours
Get up and climb aboard another train

You feel you're done there's no such thing
Although you're standing on your own
Your own breath is king
The beginning is now don't turn around
Regrets of bad mistakes will only drain you

We crawl in the dark sometimes and think too much
Then we fill our heads with crazy things that only break our hearts
And I know you've seen what the world can do
When it's dragging down another load of worrisome fools

I know it's hard when you get confused
You can crown yourself with fear and you feel you cannot move
You're building worlds that don't exist
Imagination plays the worst tricks
