John Fahey seriously ill?

A friend told me that she has heard that John Fahey is hospitalized and in serious condition. Anyone know anything about this?

John Fahey died this morning at Salem Hospital in Salem, Oregon. He was 61. He'd been on total life support since undergoing a sextuple bypass operation two days ago.

John had diabetes and was in poor health for many years.

For those of us who are still catching up on who's who in American Folk, here is a link to John Fahey's homepage.

Lots of stories, essays, discography, etc, plus a really great photo. He looks as though he was a very interesting person. Sad to hear of another passing.

Also, if you put his name in the super search, there are a lot of threads on which he is mentioned.
