Subject: My first Grandchild .... WOW!! From: Big Mick Date: 07 Mar 01 - 12:19 AM Tonight, about 6:40 EST US, my first grandchild was born. The wee man weighed in at 9 lbs. 14 oz. and 21 and 1/2 inches long. Please join me in welcoming Connor to the world. My little girl...............my little fishing buddy................now a beautiful young woman with a son. It was a C section and they had a very rough go of it. But all is well............and my little man is here. Come on son, Grandda has songs to teach you.............. Big Mick |

They're going to want a few prepared dishes that they can just stick in the oven or microwave. They'll be too busy to do anything else. Even if they do have time to cook you'll give them the gift of time if they have some food ready for them when they get home. If I lived any closer I'd bring by some turkey chili. I am looking forward to the year when I am a gram, but hopefully that will be a minimum of 10 years from now :-) since my oldest former wee one is only 19. And as for wee ones birth size corelationing to adult size, not always. The aforementioned 19 year old was 10 pounds, 5 ounces and 23 inches long at birth (that's about 4.7 kilos and 58.4 cenimeters for those who are metric) and he is now about 6' tall, and 160 lbs. Not puny, but not big, either. And Big Mick, I have long since been replaced as a fishing partner by my kids, I hear grandkids are great fisherpeople! |
