Lyr Req: The Crookit Bawbee

I have searched all over bloody creation for the lyrics to "The Crookit Bawbee" and just can't find them anywhere. My mother sang that song with a gent from Glasgow when I was a very young boy, and the melody still haunts my memory, but I can't remember the exact words. My wife is an Arbroath lass, and I'd love to sing it with her. Can anyone help?

Thanks for that, Jacko; somebody was asking about this song a while back, and I wasn't able to find it.  Crookit Bawbee is a popular tune in the Northumbrian Piping repertoire; is that the tune used for this?  Three examples are available at  J C's Tunefinder, though as it turns out they're all transcriptions from Billy Pigg's recording.

You da man! I wish I'd stumbled across this website sooner. Thanks a bazillion.

Malcom: As I'm sure you "ken", the words are Scottish; but I've only seen the title listed as an English pipe tune. As played on the bagpipes, the tune is pretty much the same as the melody for the sung version, with some subtle differences.

Yes, that's the tune, though I would slow it just a little for the song
