Subject: Dubya vs. Whom in 04?
From: BobP
Date: 14 Jun 01 - 01:44 PM

How about Dubya vs. Hillary with Bill as VP next time?

Can he do that?

What about succession, should that become necessary?

Any constitutional scholars out there?

I mean, talk about history repeating!

What better to put some fun back in politics.

I mean who wouldn't vote for that, just to see what happens next?

Perhaps they'll both bring "dates" to the inagural!

I'm thinking they'll have had just about enough "I [insert heart shaped icon here] NY" by then.

I wouldn't vote for Hillary, even though I voted for Bill twice. He is much more a moderate; she is waaaaaaay too left for me.

Your assumption that he will survive his current term strikes me as problematical, generally speaking. If he makes it, he'll be up against the best the Democratic party can bring to bear -- probably that guy from Arizona. Y'know --- Goldwater? No, dummy, John Cain...WhatEVer!!!

Hillary isn't nearly Left enough. When she got elected senator I thought she'd shake things up a little. So far, she's been blending in with all the other boring do-nothing politicians. And where is Al Gore? He got the popular vote, but he hasn't made a sound since GW stole the White House. We can't sit and wait for the politicians to rescue us. The Dems aren't much better than the Reps.

This is a good time to anounce that Sapw and I are going to run agaisnt the Dub in 04. In order to decide who will head up the ticket, we are having a spelling contest, and in the spirit of the last election, the guy who spells the worst will get to run for president. I'd agree to a bean eating contest, but I want the top of the ticket. You out there Spaw? I think we have a shot at this!

Remembe the movie Putney Swoope? Well, I figure that the Bush team will do to us what happend to Pat Buchanan, they will work it so who ever the mainstream Dem is, the confusing ballots will transfer votes to Spaw and I, and well, so many people will be confused after four years of Boosh, well, we are in like Flynn! - Laryr

I'm a Canadian, so what do I know? But isn't Hillary generally seen as a crook these days? Maybe by '04 enough time will have passed for Al Gore to stand as a separate entity from the Clintons. Or maybe by then he can call on Clinton's support without the whole world assuming he's a sex-crazed liar by association.

At the moment I'd say Tom Daschle and/or John McCain look like the best choice/s for the Dem ticket in '04. I know that John hasn't made the switch yet, but he could be pushed.

Hillary has the power machine, though. Even though she is down in the polls at the moment. I'd never underestimate her ability win the nomination.

Emmylou Harris, President
Angelica Huston, Vice President
Angelica Jolie, Secretary of Defence
Jennifer Lopez, Secretary of State
Elizabeth Shue, Whatever she wants.
Julianne Moore, Whatever she wants.

At least it would be interesting to look at.

I think it's time for a darkhorse candidate, a non-politician who would be a welcome change from the power-hungry careerists.

After careful consideration of the entire citizenry of the country, I have found a candidate in Washington state who is untainted because he has never held high office and yet, like a true politician, has an opinion on every issue under the sun whether or not he knows anything about the subject at hand.

So, I put forward the name of Alex E. Riggle.

If John McCain is running, I'm voting for him!! When the primaries started, I soooo wanted him to win and become President. I don't care if he switches sides, he's got my vote.

Hmmmmm. I was listening to the Radiohead album Pablo Honey yesterday and it struck me how much the song "How Do You?" reminds me of G-Dubblyoo.

He's bitter and twisted, he knows what he wants
He wants to be loved and he wants to belong
He wants you to listen, he wants us to weep
And he was a stupid baby who turned into a powerful freak

But how do you?
How do you?
How do you?

He lives with his mother, but we show him respect
He's a dangerous bigot, but we always forget.
And he's just like his daddy, 'cause he cheats on his friends
And he steals and he bullies, any way that he can

But how do you?
How do you?
How do you?

Alex - Hillary's too "left" for you? No shit? Gosh, I didn't know she was that left! I like her better all the time....

Hillary in '04!

Keep in mind, of course, that I don't believe in a political system which involves parties at all, and would prefer abolishing all of them, so I'm being a bit tongue-in-cheek here...

But anyway, assuming that the Redemocrapublicant bipartisan horror will simply go on and on until the world turns on its side...and I suspect it will ("Now what did he mean by that?", they wonder?)...then I'll settle for Hillary for President and Bill for...."First Husband"...or "First Gentleman"...or something like that...? :-)
